The Public Works maintenance staff prepared for this season’s wet winter conditions by participating in a morning of emergency response training this week. The city’s Corporation Yard hosted session where staff was cross-trained to increase its efficiency for responding to storm-related emergencies. The entire maintenance staff learned how to operate essential equipment including water pumps, generators, portable light towers, variable message boards and trailers.
