Last Saturday, Oct. 3, the City hosted a Frozen sing-along at the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center that was full of energy. Moviegoers eagerly waited in line to witness the interactive movie experience and once through the doors, participants were handed glow sticks, bubbles and a “fun pack” of goodies to use to interact with the movie. Children sung their hearts out as the movie played, while various in-movie antics occurred around the theater during crucial scenes. These included moviegoers building their own snowmen and cheering with pom-poms, confetti cannons, and a surprise visit from Olaf. After the movie, children took their photo with Olaf and Anna.
The Frozen sing-along event was conducted in partnership with Guggenheim Entertainment who has also brought Menlo Park other interactive movies such as Grease, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Mamma Mia!, Ghostbusters, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Toy Story, and The Princess Bride.
