Menlo Park Senior Center held two celebrations in honor of Mexican Independence Day last week, which collectively drew in over 300 people to the Center. The first event held Thursday, Sept. 17, was a series of live dance performances by the Senior Center's students from the two Folkloric Classes. The large crowd of seniors and families enjoyed this colorful event; and gathered Friday, Sept. 18, to also hear a local Mariachi band play, enjoy a home cooked meal by the staff, and dance away the afternoon. The celebrations this year drew in a record number of seniors and their families to this annual event.
