Starting Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, the City will install sharrows (green-backed shared-lane markings) on Oak Avenue between Olive Street and Sand Hill Road, on Ravenswood Avenue between El Camino Real and Noel Drive and white only shared-lane markings on Olive Street between Middle Avenue and Oak Avenue. At its June 16, 2015, meeting, the City Council approved the installation in accordance with established criteria based on traffic volume, speeds and proximity to schools. The installation will take approximately three days to complete and the modifications are in response to requests from Oak Knoll School.
