German-American International School (GAIS), a local private school, recently completed the site improvements on their new campus at 475 Pope Street. These included the installation of six new portable buildings, new play areas, storage sheds and a new freestanding sign. The Planning Commission granted land use entitlements to allow the school to operate on a 3.9-acre portion of a public school site in May 2015. GAIS previously operated at the former O’Connor School site at 275 Elliott Drive for over 20 years, and has relocated due to the
Menlo Park City School District’s decision to re-occupy the
O’Connor School site with a new public elementary school. The campus improvements were completed in time for the first day of school.
