Second annual Downtown Family Fitness Extravaganza set for Aug. 20

Posted on August 16, 2015 at 1:39 am by Clay Curtin

As the name suggests, the Downtown Family Fitness Extravaganza is a family-friendly event promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle is back! Over 30 fitness and nutrition vendors will be on hand to assist attendees with resources to meet their fitness goals. In addition, the event is a fun evening in downtown showcasing local merchants and will serve as a kickoff for the six-week pop-up park pilot program bringing new activities to the Paseo on Chestnut Street at Santa Cruz Avenue. Santa Cruz will be closed from Doyle and Maloney streets west to Crane Street. Doyle and Maloney will remain open, as will at least the southern portion of Crane Street. The closure will be Thursday, Aug. 20, in the afternoon and evening for the fitness event.
