Last year in response to the ongoing drought, the City turned off turf irrigation in City parks and street medians to conserve water. The only fields that receive irrigation are baseball diamonds and soccer fields, as watering these sports fields maintains a safe playing environment for local leagues and teams. The City irrigates these sports fields only twice a week, adhering to the water district’s latest
water restrictions that are applicable to every customer of
Menlo Park Municipal Water District. Each park in the City receives the same level of maintenance and water conservation effort.
