Starting Monday, July 12, the construction team will install new sewer and water lines requiring nighttime construction and temporary closures of two northbound traffic lanes and sidewalk on El Camino Real. The work hours will be 8 p.m.–7 a.m. and include traffic control measures to ensure safety, as well as noise monitoring to enforce appropriate levels. Between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., pavement and sawcutting work will be completed with one lane closure. This new infrastructure is needed to increase the sewage and water capacity in the area.
Construction timeline:
- Sanitary sewer line installation – July to September 2021
- Water line installation – September 2021 to January 2022
- Roadway repaving – to follow and last through February 2022
