A new round of the
Menlo Park Grant for the Arts program was recently launched for 2015-16. This program is designed for organizations looking to perform in a professional-grade theater in an effort to support the Menlo Park artistic community. Recently four organizations were awarded $1,000 each toward subsidizing the rental cost of the
Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center for performances between July 2015 and June 2016. This year's recipients include: Menlowe Ballet, ZimbabwePete Productions, iSing Silicon Valley, and Peninsula Arts and Letters in partnership with Kepler's Books. This grant helps to increase the accessibility of the PAC by community members and to encourage development of local artistic groups by providing them a high-quality venue in which to perform. Past recipients have also included: Menlo Park Chorus, West Bay Opera, Western Ballet, ALS Association, Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, Peninsula Youth Orchestra, and Phoenix Ensemble.
