We know this year has been very different due to COVID-19. While you walk and roll to school or in your immediate neighborhood, we encourage you and your family to limit the spread of COVID-19 by following public health recommendations. San Mateo County Office of Education has developed a school friendly
walking and biking safety guide that can be shared with students and parents/guardians. They recommend that families engage in outdoor recreation and exercise, but try to stay within their immediate neighborhood.
Follow walking rules:
- Always stop at the curb’s edge
- Look left, right, and behind before crossing at corners
- Follow traffic signals
- Always stop at the curb’s edge
- Use (preferably wide, less popular) paths and sidewalks, where provided
The City encourages you to share this information and remind students of these best practices. Remember to always practice social distancing by being 6 feet apart from others outside of your family.
