Get ready to play! As promised, we’re reopening playgrounds October 29, 2020. We understand you are eager to visit our playgrounds, and ask that all visitors follow the mandatory
guidance on the usage of outdoor playgrounds issued by the California Department of Public Health.
Playground visitors must:
- Wear a mask: Everyone 2 years and older should wear a mask covering their face
- Maintain distance: Maintain physical distance of 6 feet between individuals of different households and prevent crowding of children
- Wash hands: Wash or sanitize hands before and after you visit
- Plan ahead: visit the park at different times or days to avoid crowds and waits
- Children must be monitored at all times
- No food or drink: Do not eat or drink in the playground to ensure face masks are worn at all times
- Share our space: To avoid crowding and allow everyone to use the playground, please limit your visit to 30 minutes when people are waiting
- Know when to stay home: Elderly individuals and people with underlying medical conditions should avoid playground when others are present
If you or your child are unable to comply with these safety rules, we ask that you refrain from use of the playground areas at this time. It is important to note that even when all state safety guidelines are followed, visitors should be aware that there are risks involved with using this high-touch, shared equipment. It’s everyone’s responsibility to follow the rules and play safely to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
