The
Water Main Replacement Project is a recurring capital improvement project that replaces old pipelines that are at the end of their useful life. This year, the project will replace water mains at Monte Rosa Drive (between Warner Range Avenue and Eastridge Avenue) starting the week of March 2, 2020.
The project will also include additional work at the following locations
- Sharon Road at La Entrada Middle School – new domestic and irrigation service connections
- Deanna Drive cul-de-sac – new valves and blow-off to increase system reliability and water quality
This project will install new water mains, valves, water services and meters to increase system reliability and capacity to better serve existing customers. Additionally, the project will include a grind and overlay on Monte Rosa Drive within the project area after the water main replacement work is completed.
The City Council awarded the project in November 2019 and construction starts the week of March 2, 2020. The work should be completed by late June 2020. This work will require traffic lane closures and detours on Monte Rosa Drive during weekday construction hours.
Pacific Underground Construction, Inc., the city’s contractor, will notify nearby residents, schools, and businesses before construction in order to provide a schedule and what can be expected during construction.
