Please remember to water both street and private trees on your property

Posted on July 29, 2019 at 4:34 pm by Peter Ibrahim

The City of Menlo Park encourages residents to water both your private trees and street trees located between your property and the street. During these warm months this step will help maintain our beautiful urban forest. Younger trees should receive at least 5 gallons of water once each week, not only to keep the trees from dying, but also to help the young trees grow and remain healthy throughout their life cycle. Likewise, all trees should receive regular watering, particularly during dry weather conditions.

For the last 20 years, the City of Menlo Park has received the Tree City USA award. Thank you for your helping to maintain this important and prestigious recognition. If you have any questions regarding City street trees or private trees, contact Public Works at 650-330-6780 or visit menlopark.org/trees
