City plans trailhead improvements at Bedwell Bayfront Park

Posted on April 22, 2019 at 12:53 pm by Clay Curtin

This spring, the crews will be installing various amenities at four trailheads in Bedwell Bayfront Park. The first and last trailheads (labeled A and F on the map shown) will include an 18 foot by 6 foot concrete pad with a trash can, recycle can, dog bag dispenser, bench, bike rack and park rules/hours signs. Trailheads B and D will include all of the above, but no bike rack due to space restrictions.

In coordination with the Friends of Bedwell Bayfront Park, an informational sign will be relocated to the opposite side of the Trailhead B entrance. The City will also relocate the educational storyboards near Trailhead D to provide easier access for visitors, and the three storyboards on the lookout will be replaced with porcelain enamel graphic panels for improved weather resistance.

These improvements are part of the Bedwell Bayfront Park Master Plan. If you have any questions, you may contact Senior Civil Engineer Karen Pachmayer
