Teen nights at the library are the place to be

Posted on January 24, 2015 at 10:52 pm by Clay Curtin

The library’s teen program has been sponsoring plenty of activities over the past several months, including monthly themed teen nights, where teens take over the library after closing and get to use it in a relaxed atmosphere. These special teen events have involved pumpkin carving during the fall, a 1980’s movie night, and December’s gingerbread house construction. New Year activities have included an evening of personal treasures where teens built their own treasure chests. These teen night events are sponsored by the Menlo Park Library Foundation and the Friends of the Menlo Park Library.

The Teen Book Club meets twice every quarter on a Saturday afternoon to provide a place to talk, read, have fun, write, blog, and read about a book of their choice. These activities are open to all teens ages 12-18 and new participants are always welcome! Registration may be required depending on the event and details can be found on the Menlo Park Library Teen webpage at www.menlopark.org/teens.
