The City Council will hold a study session on the
Ravenswood Avenue Railroad Crossing project at its meeting Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Included in the staff report and presentation is a summary of the comments received on the draft Project Study Report and the draft scope of work for additional studies. Resident feedback is encouraged to help the City Council provide direction to staff on next steps. The
meeting agenda and
staff report can be viewed on the city website.
This project is evaluating the engineering feasibility of replacing the existing at-grade crossings of the Caltrain tracks by building grade separations of the roadways from the tracks at Ravenswood Avenue, Oak Grove Avenue and Glenwood Avenue, with priority for Ravenswood Avenue. The study session is a significant milestone, as it will determine the preferred alternative that will move forward into the environmental study and final design phase and allow the City to construct a grade separation project that best addresses the community’s concerns and needs.
Project information and previous public meetings can be found on the
Ravenswood Avenue Railroad Crossing project page.
