Kite day features petting zoo, bounce house and more!

Posted on April 30, 2018 at 4:04 pm by Peter Ibrahim

Come out to Menlo Park’s annual Kite Day and enjoy a breezy afternoon full of fun for the whole family on May 5, 2018 from Noon-3 p.m. Watch hundreds of kites fill the Menlo Park sky with gorgeous views of the San Francisco Bay. Volunteers from the Menlo Park Kiwanis will help barbecue hotdogs, while City staff and volunteers will help you assemble your kite and get it up in the air. Kite Day is free to the public, but you may purchase a kite and hot dog lunch for $6 or a snow cone for $1 at the event. Come for kite flying, a picnic lunch, a bounce house, airbrush tattoos, and for the first time ever, a petting zoo! Also, if the wind is strong enough, you’ll see Mega Fish (a giant 46' kite).

Kite Day is sponsored by the West Bay Sanitary District, Menlo Park Kiwanis Club, and is in partnership with Take it Outside California! On the day of the event, stay up to date on details on the Special Events Facebook page
