Kite Day  


Saturday, May 2, 2020
Noon to 3 p.m.
Join us at Bedwell Bayfront Park, the best place to fly a kite in Menlo Park, and enjoy a afternoon with kite flying, food, music, spin art and rockwall climbing. If the wind is just right, you might see the return of "Mega Fish", a 46' giant kite. Volunteers from the Menlo Park Kiwanis will barbecue the hotdogs while Menlo Park staff and volunteers will help you assemble your kite and get it up in the air. 

Summer 2020 events


Block Party


Wednesday, June 10, 2020
5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Come and kick off the summer at our annual Block Party Event, which runs down Santa Cruz Avenue and includes the first night of the Summer Concert Series at Fremont Park. There will be music, food, games, crafts and fun activities for all ages!




4th of July Parade and Celebration

 
Parade:11:45 a.m. Meet at Santa Cruz Avenue and Chestnut Street
Celebration: Noon-2:30 p.m. at Burgess Park
Come dressed in red, white and blue, and join us for a fun-filled pedestrian parade down Santa Cruz Avenue to Burgess Park. Activities at the park will include live music, carnival games, jump houses, crafts, face painting, disco dome, food and more!

Performing Arts Center

Performing Arts Center 


The City of Menlo Park organizes events at the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center, a 492 seat theater. We work with local performing arts organizations to support 55-day of programming in the theater each year. Programs include movie sing-alongs, variety shows, author lectures, ballet, chamber music, theater, dance, opera, jazz, and other musical performances. The City also offers the Menlo Park Grant for the Arts, designed for organizations looking to perform in a professional-grade theater.
