Menlo Children's Center

We aim to create community by providing lifelong learning opportunities and social activities that foster individual personal growth and overall community well-being. We provide child care services including preschool, prekindergarten and school-age programs, as well as summer camp activities.

Mission statement

We are a team of dedicated, diverse and positive role models who provide a safe and caring environment that promotes self-expression and social development. Through enriching and physical activities, we recognize each child and their families’ individuality. We inspire, through play, a lifelong love of learning!

Philosophy and goals

The philosophy of our preschool program is to allow the children to learn through play. We give them the opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. The children develop positive feelings, establish friendships and increase physical and motor skills when allowed to play. Our program provides a safe learning environment. Working, playing and sharing with other children, developing the ability to follow instruction, as well as establishing self-direction are our basic goals. Our primary task is to develop a well-rounded program to meet individual needs and help each child feel good about him/herself.

Age groups

Preschool distance learning support

We are excited to introduce you to our new Virtual Preschool called Pre Pods!

At the Menlo Children's Center, we understand that some families are not ready to send their child back to school. We still believe that all children need some form of socialization, but we have found a solution. Pre Pods includes a live zoom everyday, exciting weekly themes, circle time and what we are calling social time. Social time is a 30 minute break where the children stay on zoom and get to just talk to their other friends in the classroom. The teacher is present during social time and is facilitating conversations. Each child registered will receive a welcome kit with fun school supplies for special projects.

Pre Pods operates Monday–Friday, 9:3011:30am.
The weekly tuition is $73 for residents and $99 for nonresidents.

We are doing a max of 6 kids. If spots are full please join the wait list we may be able to open a second class.

Registration is open. Spaces are limited, so register soon!
