Wristbands can be purchased on the day of the event. Advanced purchase is advised and can be done by going to the Arrillaga Family Gymnasium (600 Alma St.) during business hours starting June 1. Reasonable accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities and special needs who contact the Special Events department at least two weeks prior to the event.

Handicap parking can be found in designated spots downtown and in the Alma Street parking lot near Burgess Drive. Please note, Burgess Drive will be closed to through traffic on the date of the event. Please only park in designated parking stalls.

Food and refreshments

A variety of food will be available for purchase at the park through our many food vendors located on Burgess Drive. Families are welcome to bring picnic lunches, sit out on a blanket and enjoy the warm weather. Please note, the sale of any outside food is strictly forbidden within the confines of the event. All food vendors must be approved by the City of Menlo Park and the County of San Mateo Environmental Health Services.

Note to parents

The festivities at Burgess Park will feature several inflatable jump houses and slides. Parental discretion is advised for all activities. Some activities might have an age restriction, which will be noted by event staff and/or game vendors on the day of the event. Since Fourth of July tends to fall on hot days, we encourage parents to ensure the children wear socks on the inflatable games since they can get rather warm to the touch.

First Aid/Lost and Found

In the event of a lost child, please contact event staff or come to the Information Booth located between the Little League Field and the music stage. A first-aid kit and automated external defibrillator is located at the Information Booth. Please visit the Information Booth for lost and found items. Please keep an eye on your personal belongings, as the City of Menlo Park is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. If you have any questions during the event, please feel free to ask event staff and they will be happy to assist you.
