PUBLIC WORKS
Municipal Water District
The Menlo Park Municipal Water
District (MPMWD) is part of the Department of Public
Works and serves more than 10,000 customers. The MPMWD
owns and operates its distribution system and purchases
water from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.
Approximately 94% of this water is supplied from the
Hetch Hetchy watershed, and the remainder is supplied
from the Alameda watershed.
The MPMWD serves one-third of the City's population. California Water Service Company and O'Connor Tract Coop Water serve the other portions of the City. MPMWD serves the Sharon Heights area, and portions of the City north of El Camino Real. Knowing which water district services your home or business is important so you know who to call for the following services:
- Appliance
Rebate Programs
- Pressure Testing
- Water Billing
- Water Quality Assurance
