Parking Plaza 2 Renovation
As part of the City's on-going effort to improve downtown parking, this project is intended to
improve the condition, configuration, and fixtures of Parking Plaza 2. The existing asphalt-concrete
pavement will be replaced and a new configuration will be considered including perpendicular parking stalls and
two-way aisles. Also, additional handicap stalls will be installed as required by law. Other
improvements will include new lights, benches and trees.

Six conceptual plans for Parking Plaza 2 are presented to the Downtown Group Meeting of the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce.
The various plans provide a basis for comparing the pros and cons of different layouts and serve as a good foundation for settling on a preferred design.
Most of those in attendance indicate a preference for Concept 2A.
Existing Layout: 95 stalls, angled 45º with one-way aisles
Concept 1 98 stalls, angled 90º with two-way aisles
Concept 2 92 stalls, angled 75º with two-way aisles
Concept 2A 92 stalls, angled 75º with one-way aisles
Concept 3 76 stalls, angled 45º with one-way aisles
Concept 4 63 stalls, angled 45º with two-way aisles
Concept 4A 63 stalls, angled 45º with one-way aisles
