The Burgess Gymnastics Center project consists of the demolition of the existing gymnasium and gymnastics center and the reconstruction of a new facility in its place. The gymnastics center will provide space for preschool level activity, as well as facilities to further develop youth gymnastics skills. The new building will include a preschool gymnastics area, floor exercise space, equipment areas, two multipurpose rooms, restrooms and some office space.

Planning Commission Meeting: Staff presented the project to the Planning Commission, who found consistency with the General Plan and recommended that the architectural control and heritage tree removal permits be approved by the City Council with some refinements to the building exterior.
