Energy Upgrade California

Home improvements save energy, water and other natural resources while improving a home's efficiency. The Energy Upgrade Program wants to make these upgrades easier by providing up to $4,000 in rebates on:

  • Sealing and Insulation
  • Energy-Efficient Heating and Air Conditioning
  • Energy-Efficient Windows
  • Solar or Tankless Water Heater
  • Other Permanent Energy-Efficient Improvements

Energy Upgrade

Basic Upgrade Package
Sealing and Insulation Only
Attic sealing, Attic insulation, Duct sealing, low-flow showerheads, water pipe insulation, combustion safety test, carbon monoxide and smoke alarms Rebate: Total $1,000

Advanced Upgrade Package
Customized Improvements Based Upon Your Home
Efficiency Improvement

San Mateo County is also offering a $300 rebate for the energy assessments, and if you complete improvements the City of Menlo Park will rebate you the full cost of the assessment!

Program Steps:
1. Visit www.EnergyUpgradeCA.org
2. Select an Energy Upgrade participating contractor or a home energy efficiency contractor
3. Complete your project
4. Receive your rebate
