Climate Action Plan
The purpose of the Climate Action Plan is to present researched strategies that will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions originating in Menlo Park, based on the findings of the City’s Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory Analysis. The Plan will provide a menu of options --- strategies that may be considered for implementation over the next few years by the City, its residents and businesses.
This 2009 CAP is a work in progress. Research continues to provide more cost and emissions reduction data. It will be updated yearly as new technologies arise and economic conditions change. Staff feels that it is important to present the CAP for Council’s consideration prior to approval of the FY 2009-10 budget, so that some of the strategies may be considered for analysis, funding and implementation during next fiscal year.
