COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Planning Division


The Planning Division is a part of the Community Development Department, which also includes the Building Division and Housing and Redevelopment Division. The Planning Division is responsible for coordinating the enforcement of the City's Zoning Ordinance and related policies concerning applications for residential, commercial, and industrial development projects. The Division also leads the development of studies concerning land use issues.

General Office Hours
Monday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Alternate Fridays: Closed

Planning Counter Hours
Monday-Thursday: 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Friday: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Alternate Fridays: Closed
Appointments outside of these hours may be made by contacting planning@menlopark.org or 650-330-6702. Please note: it may require a few days to schedule a special appointment request, depending on current Planning Division workloads.
