    COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT

    The Community Services Department is responsible for providing recreational and cultural programs for children, adults, and seniors. The Department's facilities includes 13 parks, 2 community centers, 2 swimming pools, 2 child care centers, and 2 gymnasiums. The Department offers a variety of classes and over 10 special events annually. The Department's efforts are supported by the Parks and Recreation Commission.

    Social Services and Child Care Programs

    Services dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, teens, seniors and their families. These programs aim to create community by providing lifelong learning opportunities and social activities that foster individuals' personal growth and overall community well being. Social services include skill learning and personal enhancement activities like academic enrichment, language classes, parent education, senior trips, teen activities, special interest activities and more for families, teens and seniors. Child care services include day care, developmental pre-school and after school activities.     Creating Community by providing safe and enjoyable activities in the areas of recreation and sports. There is something for everyone in Recreation and Sports. Choose from: youth sports camps and classes, adult softball and basketball leagues, a variety of gymnastics classes, swim lessons, lap swim and safety courses, ballet, aerobics, choir and folk dance, and 4th of July celebration, Egg Hunt, and the Holiday Breakfast. Whether you want to stay in shape, find a baseball camp, swim laps or meet others at the summer concerts, we are certain you'll find an enjoyable activity.
