  School Age Child Care

Menlo Children's Center-School Age Program (2008-2009)

The Menlo Children's Center- School-Age Program is licensed by the Department of Social Services (License #414002032) to provide care for children in Kindergarten to fifth grade. We provide transportation for children attending Laurel, Oak Knoll and Encinal school to the Burgess Recreation Center. Children attending other schools will be accepted, but no transportation will be provided. The Burgess School Age Program follows the Menlo Park School District calendar. Our Program provides a unique environment to facilitate the development of each child's physical, social, emotional, and creative growth. The staff promotes self-respect, confidence, creative expression, positive peer interaction and life long learning. Activities include inside/outside games, arts and crafts, cooking, open areas for exploration and a homework club for grades 1-5, nutritional snacks are provided. We also offer recreation and academic classes for an additional fee. Spaces are limited. Call 650.330.2262 for additional information.

Belle Haven School Year (2008-2009)

The Belle Haven School-Age Child Care Program is licensed by the Department of Social Services (License # 414001721) to provide care for children in kindergarten to sixth grade. We serve working families who desire a fun, safe, structured environment where children can learn at their own developmental pace. We provide a supportive and nurturing atmosphere, while bridging the gap between home and school. A balance of educational, social and recreational opportunities are offered which include: a collaborative homework assistance/reading program with Peninsula Partnership, indoor/outdoor games, arts and crafts, open areas for exploration, cooking and much more. A daily nutritional snack is provided through the Department of Education Child and Adult Care Food Program. We provide transportation from Belle Haven Community School to the Belle Haven School-Age Child Care Program. Children that are a part of the Tinsely Program, who live in Belle Haven neighborhood, and participate in the child care program, will be dropped off in the front of the Belle Haven Community School and will be transported from that site.
